About Us

Our Mission

Whiterock Conservancy fosters a resilient and self-renewing Iowa landscape by integrating economics, social & ecological land management strategies & engaging the public via outdoor recreation & education.

Since 2004, Whiterock Conservancy, a non-profit land trust, has grown significantly as an organization and as a landscape thanks to the continued and generous planned land gift from the Garst family.

Over the past 6 years, Whiterock Conservancy has received over 46% of the total planned 5366 acre land gift. In 2010, the most recent gift of 40 acres on the west side of Whiterock, brought the land gift to the 2,500 acre milestone.
