Whiterock Conservancy supports a diverse array of plants and animals native to Iowa the Middle Raccoon River and serves as the “last outpost” of significant forested habitat until you reach the Missouri River. But Whiterock is not just an isolated natural landscape; it is unique because it is part of a working landscape with crop agriculture, grazing, and active management of the natural system. The BioBlitz is designed to bring natural science experts and the public together to explore this landscape and identify the diversity of species found in it. We’ll have sessions to explore literally “from the bottom up.”

The day will begin at 7 am with a session on birds.  You can register for 4 Bio-blitz session times with breakfast and lunch for $20 or register for 5 bioblitz sessions and inclues dinner – your chance to discuss more about the day’s sessions with our experts – for $30.

Free camping is available on Friday night (all registrants) and Saturday night for full day registrants.
