Forest Therapy Guided Walk
May 6, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm| $25
Destress, relax and rejuvenate with certified forest therapy guides Joseph Breshears of Lamoni, Iowa.
While there are many ways to experience shin-rin-yoku, this guided walk is more than just spending time in the woods. Joseph and Julie will assist you in slowing down, relaxing, reconnecting with nature, awakening your senses, and being present. Through a series of invitations, you will find opportunity for self-expression while deepening your awareness of the sights, smells, sounds, tastes, and tactile sensations that become your relationship with the forest. It is through the simple act of noticing where we are that we become present to ourselves once again.
Grounded in over 30 years of scientific research, forest therapy has demonstrated that time spent in nature can mitigate the impact of stress on the human body and can even improve health functions. Studies show that forest therapy is a natural antidepressant, boosts immune function, and even increases your creativity and mental functions. Time in nature helps you be happier, healthier and smarter.
The forest is the therapist, the guide opens the door.
