Lend a Hand to the Land All Land Trust Work Day

You’re invited to Snyder Heritage Farm, an amazing prairie oasis just outside of Des Moines, for a fall prairie seed harvest! Explore the magic of the prairie in autumn while hand collecting native prairie seed to help expand this amazing habitat. Make a day of it and stay for a guided afternoon hike through the oak savanna. An RSVP is requested for this event.
All are invited to come get away, learn and meet others. No experience necessary. Families welcome.

This annual event is hosted by Iowa’s land trust leaders: Bur Oak Land Trust, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, Sustainable Iowa Land Trust – SILT and Whiterock Conservancy.
About Snyder Heritage Farm:
Snyder Heritage Farm is a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For over two decades, the property has been slowly transitioning from a traditional farm to an amazing blend of prairie, oak savanna, wetland and woodland. It is now an amazing prairie oasis just outside of the Des Moines metro. Snyder Heritage Farm is owned and managed by Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

– You will be asked to sign a visibility waiver
– Restrooms available on site
*Please let us know if you need assistance with transportation. We are able to provide shuttles to and from locations within approximately 30 miles of Snyder Heritage Farm.
