Whiterock is thrilled to be a race location and part of the Iowa Mountain Bike Championship Series.

The Iowa Mountain Bike Championship Series (IMBCS) pulls into Whiterock Conservancy for the season finale* and Iowa Mountain Bike State Championship on Saturday, August 24th (rain date Sunday, August 25th).

 Join us for free BBQ from Cyd’s Catering and free cold beer from Firetrucker brewery.  An end of year celebration for all things mountain biking! We will have categories and classes to suit anyone’s ability, including Fat Bike, Cross Country, and Marathon races.

Come August 24th  to experience the excitement of competition. Bike races for all skill levels, including kids, novices and marathon racers, will be held.  Spend the weekend and go camping, canoeing, kayaking and more fun for the entire family.

Learn more about the race at imbcs.org or preregister at usacycling.org. Day-of registration for the  Cup opens Saturday, August 24 at 9 a.m. and is $35 per participant. Racers 18 years and younger register for free. The first racers take off at 10am and the second group starts at noon. Award winners will be announced at 3 p.m.

If you are not the race type, come to cheer them on. Spectators are welcome, and encouraged, to cheer on the racers beginning at the Star Field Campground and then on the course. It’s free to attend and free food and beverages will be provided for fans during the event.
