Trails are wet and closed. Please help us keep trails safe and don't create ruts that will freeze and be dangerous. Dippers and Shooting star are cleared of trees as of 2/11. There are trees reported on Long Creek and Riverside. Please report additional trees. Shower houses are closed for the season.

The volunteer program is a vital part of Whiterock Conservancy. Annually, dedicated volunteers contribute hundreds of hours to assisting us with a wide variety of projects. Our volunteer program is for people of all talents, ages and backgrounds who have an enthusiasm for volunteering and an interest in the maintaining the historical and ecological mission of Whiterock Conservancy.

Throughout the year, our event calendar lists group volunteer activities, such as a river cleanup, which will include information on how to sign up.  Contact us to volunteer for other opportunities such as

– Prescribed Fire Burns
– Land Steward Program
– Trail maintenance
– Camp hosts
– Guest Service Hosts
– Gardening
– Building maintenance and repairs
– Office assistance

Please contact or (712) 790-8221 ext. 3. If you have an idea for how you can use your special skills to help Whiterock Conservancy, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities.  Whiterock’s new Volunteer Residence is available to allow dedicated volunteers to more easily volunteer for Whiterock and more easily enjoy Whiterock while they are here.
