Communication Intern Position (Paid)
Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500 acre non-profit land trust located in West Central Iowa. Interested candidates can expect a great deal of variability in tasks.
This position will assist in marketing Whiterock Conservancy and specific events, accommodations and activities on the property. Duties include:
creating marketing and promotional materials including brochures, newsletters and advertisements,
creating and editing website pages,
managing social media posts,
assisting with event planning and execution,
creating advertisements,
graphic design,
Other duties based on talents and interests are possible.
Candidates pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Web Management, Communications, Business, Marketing or another related field strongly preferred. Must be willing to work some weekends and events.
Housing will be available, no pets and no smoking allowed. Other benefits include kayaking down the Middle Raccoon River, watching fledged eagles in flight school, and seeing a wide variety of native flora and fauna. Coon Rapids, Iowa is a welcoming community that offers three eating establishments, a grocery store, small town entertainment, four churches, and easy access to Des Moines, Iowa. We have flexible start and end dates but expect a commitment for May- August.
