Looking for a quick walk or bike ride in the woods? Little Dipper is a short and easy loop through the forest that can be started right at Star Field Campground and is great for beginner mountain bikers. Since it loops just along the outside of the campground, it is easy get on and off the trail at several locations. This also makes it a great trail to hop on when camping at the Star Field Campground. Star Field Campground also features a Disk Golf Course and the best views of the night sky at Whiterock. For a longer journey, use Little Dipper to connect with the Big Dipper and Shooting Star trails. The Dippers and Shooting Star provide lovely, secluded trails, with a great chance to see wildlife. Like other forested trails, Little Dipper is prone to fallen trees and branches after storms as well as wet spots. Report downed trees/other maintenance issues to trails@whiterockconservancy.org.
